For bringing three migrant buses to the home of Vice President Kamala Harris in Washington, DC, on Christmas Eve, Republican Governor Greg Abbott is being criticized by Democrats.
The maximum temperature on Christmas Eve was only 22. Yet, Breitbart News claimed that Abbott’s Division of Emergency Management transported three buses full of border crossers to Harris’ D.C. mansion, the Naval Observatory.
A local charity agency picked up about 130 asylum seekers after they arrived at Harris’s house and were brought to a neighboring church.
Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) and other elected Democrats criticized Abbott, calling him a “POS” (short for “piece of crap”) and saying that he “belongs in prison” for his handling of the migrant bus crisis.
The far-Left Occupy Democrats tweeted that President Joe Biden’s administration should launch a criminal probe into Abbott’s migrant bus operations.
Reps. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and Ritchie Torres (D-NY) have also raised questions about whether or not Abbott is a Christian. Torres even went so far as to suggest that it should be unlawful to transport migrants by bus to so-called sanctuary counties.
For months, Texas has been busing thousands of border crossers to sanctuary cities like Washington, DC, New York City, Chicago, and Denver, CO. There have been projections that by moving the burden to other states with sanctuary policies, Abbott is saving Texas taxpayers billions of dollars in expenditures linked with illegal immigration.
