A tragic shooting at a manufacturing facility in New Albany, Ohio, on the night of February 4, 2025, resulted in one fatality and five injuries. The incident occurred at the KDC/One plant, a company specializing in beauty and personal care products.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Bruce Reginald Foster III, was apprehended the following morning in Columbus after a brief standoff with law enforcement. Foster, an employee at the facility, had been present at the plant for several hours prior to the shooting, which took place around 10:30 p.m.
New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones reported that approximately 150 employees were safely evacuated from the building during the incident. A 9 mm handgun, legally purchased by Foster in September, was recovered at the scene. Authorities are currently investigating the motive behind the attack, as no prior conflicts or disputes involving Foster have been reported by coworkers or supervisors.
The five injured individuals were transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital. As of the latest updates, their conditions remain undisclosed.
