Trump Blasts Rosie O’Donnell as “Not in the Best Interests” of America

President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to announce he is “seriously considering” revoking Rosie O’Donnell’s U.S. citizenship, branding her a “Threat to Humanity” and suggesting she should remain in Ireland, where she relocated earlier this year.

O’Donnell, born in the U.S. and currently pursuing Irish citizenship, fired back on social media, calling Trump a “dangerous old soulless man with dementia” and accusing him of trying to silence her voice as a queer mother and outspoken critic.

Constitutional experts emphasize that a president cannot withdraw citizenship from someone born in America. The Supreme Court has ruled that native-born citizenship is protected under the 14th Amendment.

The exchange prolongs a feud that began in 2006 when O’Donnell criticized Trump on The View, prompting years of public sparring. This latest clash reignites debates over presidential power, freedom of expression, and the rules governing nationality.
