Joe Biden says he is as sharp as hem ever was, which is entirely possible considering he has been on the wrong end of every issue for the past fifty years. Remember, Biden, like Bernie Sanders has never really had a career outside of politics. And in politics unlike a real job, performance never means as much as party affiliation. Take Paul Ryan. He became Speaker of the House and he was as worthless as teats on a boar hog.
President Trump issued a challenge to to Biden for both of them to take the Montreal Cognitive test together and see who comes out ahead. Host Chris Wallace did a valiant job of defending Dementia Joe but I doubt if anyone with a normal IQ bought anything Wallace was selling. Imagine a Democratic candidate for president who hides out in his basement because he cannot say two sentences without flubbing it even when it is written down for him.
Biden has defended himself against accusations that his mental health is in decline with the following statement:
“I’ve been tested and I’m constantly tested. Look, all you got to do is watch me and I can hardly wait to compare my cognitive capability to the cognitive capability of the man I’m running against.”
Two questions about his statement. If he is not in decline, why must he be tested constantly? And although he says he is anxious to pit his cognitive abilities against the president’s why has he refused Trump’s challenge he has been making for months? Let’s add a third question. Why does Joe Biden refuse to release his test results?
A recent Zogby International poll of 1,007 “likely voters” found that 55% said they think the former vice president “is in the early stages of dementia.”
“Overall, subgroups who normally approve of Trump’s job as president were the most likely to believe Biden could be suffering from dementia,” the poll found. “Thus, majorities of Republicans (77% more likely/23% less likely) and Independents (56% more likely/44% less likely) thought Joe Biden had early-onset dementia; while nearly a third of Democrats (32% more likely/68% less likely) thought this was the case.”
