A federal judge has ordered the U.S. government to bring back a Venezuelan migrant who was deported in violation of existing legal protections, marking the second such ruling in recent weeks.

The individual, known publicly as Cristian, was removed to El Salvador despite being part of a protected group covered under a 2019 legal settlement. He originally entered the country as an unaccompanied minor and was awaiting a decision on his asylum claim.

Authorities had cited the Alien Enemies Act to justify his removal, suggesting ties to criminal activity. However, the court found no evidence to support those claims and determined the deportation breached the terms of the settlement agreement.

This case follows a similar ruling involving another migrant who was also deported under questionable legal grounds. Despite court directives, efforts to facilitate the return of those individuals have reportedly faced administrative delays and resistance.

The situation has intensified scrutiny over immigration enforcement procedures and raised questions about the government’s adherence to court orders, particularly in sensitive asylum and deportation cases.
