President Donald Trump has granted a full presidential pardon to Devon Archer, a former business associate of Hunter Biden, officially clearing his federal conviction linked to a major fraud scheme. The pardon was signed and confirmed by White House officials, marking a significant development in a case that had drawn widespread political attention.

Archer was previously convicted of conspiracy and securities fraud in connection with a scheme that defrauded a Native American tribe and multiple investors of millions of dollars. Federal prosecutors argued that Archer and others misused bond proceeds meant for the tribe’s economic development, resulting in significant financial losses.

Although Hunter Biden’s name surfaced due to his past business connections with Archer, he was not charged or implicated in the case. The legal battle centered solely on Archer’s role in the fraudulent operation, which led to his sentencing and a pending prison term before the pardon was issued.

In the official statement, Trump defended the decision, stating that Archer had faced an unfair prosecution and deserved clemency. The move immediately reignited debate, with critics accusing Trump of leveraging the pardon power for political motives, while supporters argued that Archer was subjected to excessive punishment.

With the pardon now in effect, Archer is relieved of all legal penalties associated with the case. The decision effectively brings the years-long legal battle to a close, removing the conviction from Archer’s record and ending any remaining court proceedings tied to the case.
