Trump tells John Kerry to back off his Deep State posturing, especially since he is the one that negotiated the lousy deal that Iran has already violated multiple times.
I wouldn’t order him to back off. I would order AG Jeff Sessions to prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law. If you truly want to drain the swamp and destroy the Deep State, the best way to do that is to lock everyone up that violates the law. Every time one of these jokers go free it emboldens the swamp to go even farther. It has to end and it should end right here.
Kerry reportedly has engaged in private meetings with Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif to discuss the future of the nuclear deal. The former secretary of state’s conduct has come under scrutiny for possibly violating the Logan Act, which prohibits private citizens from negotiating with foreign governments in dispute with the U.S.
“I think every American would want every voice possible urging Iran to remain in compliance with the nuclear agreement that prevented a war,” Kerry’s spokesman said, adding “Secretary Kerry stays in touch with his former counterparts around the world just like every previous Secretary of State. Like America’s closest allies, he believes it is important that the nuclear agreement, which took the world years to negotiate, remain effective as countries focus on stability in the region.”
