Mike Gill, a respected former official in President Trump’s administration, tragically passed away after being critically injured in a violent carjacking in Washington, D.C. Gill, who had contributed significantly to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as chief of staff, was attacked in his vehicle on a Monday evening in the bustling 900 block of K Street NW.
The assailant, identified as 28-year-old Artell Cunningham, escalated the city’s carjacking spree, later killing another individual, 35-year-old Alberto Vasquez Jr., in a separate incident. Cunningham’s rampage concluded when he was fatally shot by law enforcement officers.
