President Donald Trump unveiled a sweeping 20-point plan on Monday aimed at ending the Gaza war and reshaping the region’s future.
The proposal calls for a ceasefire, the immediate release of all Israeli hostages (alive and deceased) within 72 hours of Israel accepting the agreement, and the staged withdrawal of Israeli forces. It would grant amnesty to disarmed Hamas members willing to commit to peace while barring Hamas from any governance role.
Under Trump’s framework, Gaza would transition to a technocratic administration under international oversight, with reconstruction and humanitarian aid led by global partners. In exchange, Israel would release thousands of Palestinian prisoners.
The plan also includes provisions for demilitarization, safe passage for those who wish to leave Gaza, and the creation of a “New Gaza” with strong economic development commitments.
Trump warned that if Hamas rejects the plan, the U.S. will back Israel’s military efforts to remove the group entirely.
