Former President Donald Trump Addresses Immigration Policy and Ideological Screening at Florida Freedom Summit

**Florida** – Former President Donald Trump took the stage at the Florida Freedom Summit, where he delivered a passionate address reiterating his strong stance on immigration and the necessity for robust entry screening measures. The event, which drew prominent 2024 GOP presidential hopefuls, witnessed Trump’s clear message on the importance of vetting newcomers to ensure they align with American values.

Speaking before an audience that included key figures like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, Trump left no room for ambiguity in his remarks.

“If you hate America, if you want to abolish Israel, if you sympathize with jihadists, and then you don’t want your country to do well, you don’t want your country to be successful, you’re just not going to get in, you’re not getting in, you’re not coming into our country,” Trump declared, drawing a clear line regarding the admission of individuals into the United States.

Trump also unveiled his intention to reinstate what he referred to as the “travel ban,” designed to restrict access to individuals hailing from regions marred by conflict and terrorism. The former President underscored the need for strict ideological screening of all immigrants, a call that echoes his 2016 presidential campaign’s demand for “extreme vetting.” Trump stressed that the United States should welcome only those who appreciate and respect American principles, firmly asserting, “The time is overdue to develop a new screening test for the threats we face today.”

These statements come in the wake of Trump’s earlier pledge, voiced during a campaign speech in Iowa on October 16, to deport immigrants openly supporting Hamas. At the same event, he made it unequivocal that individuals from the Gaza Strip would not be permitted to enter the United States.

In the ongoing national debate over immigration policy, these remarks by former President Trump underline his unwavering commitment to ensuring that individuals entering the United States align with American values and stringent security measures.
