President Donald Trump has issued his strongest condemnation yet of Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him “absolutely crazy” in response to one of the deadliest missile and drone assaults on Ukraine since the war began.

The attack, which involved nearly 400 projectiles, left at least a dozen people dead and injured more than 70 across several Ukrainian cities. It marked a sharp escalation in Russia’s military campaign, prompting international outrage and renewed calls for action.

Trump, visibly frustrated during public remarks, denounced the violence as reckless and unnecessary. He signaled that his administration is weighing additional sanctions aimed at crippling Russia’s capacity to sustain its military offensive.

In Moscow, the Kremlin pushed back on Trump’s remarks, attributing them to emotional pressure and defending the strikes as necessary for national security. Russian officials dismissed the criticism and maintained that their objectives remain unchanged.

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron has publicly urged Trump to follow through with concrete steps, suggesting that the U.S. should intensify its support for Ukraine through tougher sanctions and increased defense aid.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy echoed those sentiments, condemning the attacks as politically motivated and lacking any legitimate military purpose. He appealed to global leaders for coordinated pressure to halt Russia’s aggression.

With tensions at a boiling point, global leaders now face mounting pressure to respond decisively. The latest developments signal a volatile phase in the conflict, with the world watching to see whether diplomacy or escalation will prevail.
