Former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign has released a new advertisement that criticizes Hillary Clinton for praising President Joe Biden and accuses her of attempting to “deprogram” voters who support Trump.
The ad features a comment made by Clinton in an October 6 CNN interview in which she mentioned the need for a “formal deprogramming of the cult members.” She was referring to “MAGA” extremists and predicted that Trump would become the 2024 GOP presidential nominee but would be defeated by Biden.
The ad portrays Clinton’s remark as a tactic to manipulate voters and showcases a line of people robotically waiting to be “deprogrammed” to support Biden and forget about Trump. The phrases “Pay attention,” “Joe Biden will defeat him,” and “Forget Trump” are repeated as the people in line undergo this process. The ad also includes a clip of Biden stumbling while boarding Air Force One in March 2021.
The ad transitions from black and white to color as it shows a clip of Trump promising to support American workers and attending a rally.
In 2016, Clinton won the popular vote but lost the Electoral College to Trump. She has publicly supported Biden’s re-election campaign and highlighted his achievements in interviews.
