On Friday’s episode of “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News Channel, former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard said her old political party was dividing the country.
She said it was a collection of people with bad intentions who had settled on a label.
“Now, I think what most of the members of today’s Democratic Party haven’t grappled with is the fact that people aren’t leaving the party because of just one issue,” host Laura Ingraham remarked. There are maybe ten problems with the party’s newfound liberalism that have convinced them to leave. They are so far to the left that they have abandoned the United States. This is an unprecedented alliance of extremists.
“Yes, Laura, they’re taking giant strides in the direction of lunacy. Gabbard responded, “There’s really no other word that I can find to describe it.” There is a broad list of unavoidable causes. And I believe that we will continue to see an increasing number of Americans who identify with the Democratic Party but are abandoning it for a variety of reasons. It’s a group of powerful people—corrupt politicians, the propaganda media, big tech, and the national security state—who all want conflict. To attack their political opponents, they are arming the security state.
“They’re undermining our God-given rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution,” she said. You should realize that their goal is to suppress and censor anyone who disagrees with them. The NAACP’s recent announcement regarding Florida serves as proof that identity politics and the racialization of all issues are dividing the nation. We could literally do an entire show about anything on that list. And I believe more and more Americans are beginning to understand the error of their ways. It’s not about which party is at fault here, but rather what damage is being done to our democracy and to our country. That is the crux of the matter.
