During the ongoing battle between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas, the administration of Vice President Joe Biden has started sending munitions and other military supplies to Israel. Army Secretary Christine Wormuth underlined how important it is for Congress to swiftly approve additional financing in order to supply Israel and Ukraine with the necessary arms and munitions that they require. She indicated that the goal is to provide support for Israel, but additional financing is required to pay the cost of munitions and to expand manufacturing.
The transfer of arms to Israel comes on the heels of an announcement by Vice President Biden that 11 citizens of the United States have been murdered in the current conflict. The United States Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, has given the order for the carrier strike group aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford to sail to the Eastern Mediterranean in order to be ready to support Israel in the event that it is required.
