Ukraine’s National Security Secretary announced that senior Ukrainian and U.S. officials will meet in Switzerland in the coming days to begin consultations on Washington’s proposed 28-point blueprint for ending the war with Russia.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office confirmed the delegation—led by his chief of staff Andriy Yermak and the security head Rustem Umerov—will negotiate terms and protect Kyiv’s core interests. Zelenskyy warned that any settlement must ensure both justice and security, or Ukraine risks losing U.S. backing.
The talks follow the United States’ move to set a Thursday deadline for Kyiv to accept the peace framework, which shifts substantial obligations onto Ukraine while placing fewer immediate demands on Russia.
