U.S. Southern Command announced that eight individuals described as narco-terrorists were killed during recent lethal kinetic strikes in the Eastern Pacific. Military officials said the operations targeted suspected leaders and operatives tied to transnational criminal and extremist networks that pose a threat to regional security.

According to Southern Command, these strikes were conducted as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt illicit maritime trafficking and criminal activity in international waters. The eight individuals were reportedly identified through intelligence that linked them to violent smuggling operations and potential terrorist affiliations.

Officials said the operations were coordinated with partner nations and involved precision targeting to minimize risk to civilian vessels and noncombatants. Commanders characterized the mission as a significant blow to the operational capabilities of the targeted network.

The strikes reflect continuing U.S. efforts to counter narco-terrorism and enhance security in key maritime zones. Southern Command reiterated its commitment to working with international allies to prevent criminal syndicates from exploiting the region’s waters for drug trafficking, arms smuggling, and other illicit activities.
