Video Shows Minnesota Daycare Parents Pretending to Drop Off Kids

A surveillance video from a Minnesota childcare center captures parents acting as if they were dropping off their children at the facility, even though no students are actively enrolled there, according to local authorities and sources familiar with the footage.

The recording was reviewed by state investigators as part of an ongoing probe into how taxpayer funds were awarded and used at the daycare, which has drawn scrutiny after receiving significant public money despite having few — or no — children in care.

In the clip, adults are seen walking toward the entrance with children in tow, then abruptly turning away without entering the building, raising questions about how the center’s reported activity matches its actual operations.

Officials involved in the investigation say the video is one of several pieces of evidence being examined to understand the discrepancy between the facility’s claimed enrollment and on-the-ground reality. Investigators have emphasized that they are gathering documentation, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing records as part of a thorough review.

The daycare’s leadership has faced mounting questions about compliance with program requirements, and the video has intensified public interest in the case. Lawmakers and community members have expressed concern about accountability for funding intended to support early childhood services.

As the inquiry continues, authorities have not publicly stated whether the video alone will influence charges or administrative actions, but it has become a notable element in the broader review of operations at the center. Further developments are expected as the investigation proceeds.
