Travonsha Ferguson, 24 years old, just gave birth to a child. The infant’s condition is critical but stable at this time.

A Tennessee Walgreens worker claims he was forced to shoot a pregnant shoplifter.

Police in Nashville released a statement saying that at about 8 p.m. on Wednesday, a Walgreens team leader fatally shot an expecting mother in the store’s parking lot.

According to the report, “the suspected shoplifter, Travonsha Ferguson, 24, is in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.”

Ferguson was pregnant for a total of seven months. A C-section was urgently required. The infant was not shot and is currently in a critical but stable condition.

After a witness reported seeing two ladies steal from a store, police were able to apprehend 21-year-old Mitarius Boyd.

After the women left the store without paying for the merchandise, Boyd allegedly followed them to their car and interrogated them there.

Boyd said that one of the ladies sprayed him with mace from a can, prompting him to draw his weapon.

According to the Nashville Police Department, Boyd contacted 911 reporting that he saw the women get into a car and that he suspected one of them had a gun.

Ferguson was abandoned at the hospital by the woman who accompanied her. Multiple rounds were fired at Ferguson, according to the police.

“Boyd worked with detectives,” the paper proclaimed. The police confiscated his weapon and cell phone. The District Attorney’s Office will decide whether or not Boyd will be charged once the police have gathered sufficient evidence.

Fox News Digital was informed by a spokesperson from Walgreens that Body was terminated from employment.

Patient, customer, and staff safety is our number one concern, hence we will not tolerate any form of violence at our facilities. A representative for the firm stated that they were taking the matter seriously and were communicating with the appropriate authorities in the area.
