Will Smith has responded to Jada Pinkett Smith’s revelations about their 25-year marriage, acknowledging that her revelations have “kind of woke [him] up.” He expressed a newfound appreciation for her resilience, cleverness, and compassion, recognizing that emotional blindness can develop when you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, causing you to lose sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.

Jada Pinkett Smith recently disclosed during an interview that she and Will Smith have been separated for seven years but remain committed to working through their relationship issues. By 2016, they had both become exhausted from trying to meet each other’s expectations, but they still shared deep love and are working on defining their partnership.

The couple’s marriage has been under the spotlight due to Pinkett Smith’s memoir, “Worthy,” in which she candidly discusses their relationship and the challenges they’ve faced. Despite the public scrutiny, they have not considered divorce and continue to work on their partnership.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, married in 1997, have children together: Jaden, Willow, and Pinkett Smith is a stepmother to Smith’s son, Trey.
