Karolina Geits, a 29-year-old living in New York City, gained attention on social media after posting a video of herself walking around the city streets with a cardboard sign that read, “Looking for a husband.” The idea initially started as a joke among her friends, discussing the challenges of dating apps and lengthy chat conversations.
Inspired by the conversation, Geits decided to turn the idea into reality. She took a cardboard box, tore off a piece of it, and wrote the humorous message on the sign. The TikTok video of her holding the sign quickly went viral, amassing over 10 million views and 1.2 million likes.
Geits, an influencer and model, found it amusing to see people’s reactions as she walked around with her sign. To her surprise, many passersby and online viewers supported her unconventional approach to finding a partner. Some even sent her their dating profiles for potential review.
While this was a lighthearted social experiment, Geits has previously taken to the streets with similar signs, such as “Need money for Cartier” and “Need money for Chanel.” Her TikTok profile, with nearly 57,000 followers, showcases these unique ventures.
Reactions from other TikTok users have been largely supportive, with some finding humor and creativity in her approach. Geits appreciates the online support and has stated that she will update her followers when she eventually finds “the one.”
