Musk Officially States His Backing Of DeSantis As The Governor Rapidly Climbs To Top Of GOP

In recent comments, Elon Musk outright dismissed the idea of former President Donald Trump trying to run for office in the upcoming 2024 elections with Governor DeSantis (R-FL) as his running partner, claiming that Trump was just far too old and that DeSantis, along, would easily take down Democrat President Joe Biden in an election.

These statements from Musk take place just as he begins to deal with increased attacks from Trump despite making public statements that he does not hate Trump at all.

“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset,” claimed Musk via social media. “Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency.”

When someone brought up the idea of a ticket including Trump-DeSantis for 2024, Musk fired back, “Trump would be 82 at end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America.”

“If DeSantis runs against Biden in 2024, then DeSantis will easily win – he doesn’t even need to campaign,” stated Musk with certainty.

As stated last month, Musk claimed that DeSantis was the person he was heavily leaning toward in regards to supporting for 2024 when questioned on the topic “I supported Yang last time, but DeSantis has a better chance of winning,” added the billionaire.

Musk caused quite a fuss this past Tuesday when he clapped back against a new string of attacks from Trump, who claimed via social media: “When Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many subsidized projects, whether it’s electric cars that don’t drive long enough, driverless cars that crash, or rocketships to nowhere, without which subsidies he’d be worthless, and telling me how he was a big Trump fan and Republican, I could have said, ‘drop to your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it.”

“Now Elon should focus on getting himself out of the Twitter mess because he could owe $44 billion for something that’s perhaps worthless. Also, lots of competition for electric cars!” Trump went on. “P.S., Why was Elon allowed to break the $15 million stock purchase barrier on Twitter without any reporting? That is a very serious breach! Have fun Elon and @jack, go to it!”

Musk was quick on the draw with his response, stating, “lmaooo” via Twitter overtop a GIF of Grampa Simpson from “The Simpsons” angrily shouting at the sky.
