As part of a series of statements issued this past Sunday, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) claimed that she will be throwing her support behind the opponents of any GOP candidate who she has labeled as “election deniers.”
Cheney issues these statements this past Sunday as part of an appearance on a segment of ABC’s show “This Week.”
“I’m going to be very focused on working to ensure that we do everything we can not to elect election deniers,” She exclaimed as part of the segment interview.
“We’ve got election deniers that have been nominated for really important positions all across the country,” she stated. “I’m going to work against those people. I’m going to work to support their opponents.”

The comments come after Cheney was handed a staggering loss in the Wyoming GOP primary held last week on Tuesday. The candidate who took that election was Harriet Hageman who sported a Trump endorsement.
Hageman managed to garner almost double the totals of Cheney for the Republican primary battle. With a total of 99% of the vote counted and reported at this point, Hageman sported a staggering 66.3% of the votes to Cheney’s lowly 28.9%.
“Wyoming has spoken on behalf of everyone all across this great country who believes in the American dream, who believes in liberty, and who recognizes that our natural rights – the freedom of speech, freedom of religion, equal protection and due process, come from God, they do not come from the Government,” stated Hageman as part of her victory speech given on Tuesday evening. “Wyoming has spoken on behalf of everyone who understands that our government is a government of, by and for the people.”
The most recent statements from Cheney seem to only highlight how she continues to remain obstinant in her odd vendetta against former President Donald Trump. Though rejected by the voters of her state for the most part, one fairly left-aligned panel from ABC’s show “This Week” offered a few words of praise.
Cheney is “committed not only to sort of take down Donald Trump but to take down the sickness of her party,” stated Mark Leibovich, a staff writer for The Atlantic. “I think she will be an extremely relevant figure in her party.”

The panel also issued a series of glowing remarks from Susan Page with USA Today that suggested that Cheney could run for president in any of the next three presidential election cycles.
“Politics is not a straight line. Liz Cheney is 56 years old. She could run for president in 2024 or 2028 or 2032,” expressed Page.

This past Wednesday, the day after her primary loss, Cheney hinted that she might be thinking about a possible future presidential run.
“I will be doing whatever it takes to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office,” Cheney stated as part of a “Today Show” interview.
When questioned on the topic of a possible presidential run for 2024, she answered that it “is something I’m thinking about and I’ll make a decision in the coming months.”
