Civil Rights Attorney: Trump’s Visit to Chick-fil-A Destroys Media Narrative

Leo Terrell, a civil rights attorney and Fox News contributor, recently discussed the shifting political landscape for Black American voters, particularly in relation to former President Donald Trump. Terrell, who left the Democratic Party in 2020 following Joe Biden’s controversial comment that Black voters not supporting him “ain’t Black,” argued that Trump’s administration had been beneficial for Black Americans.

During an appearance on “America’s Newsroom,” Terrell pointed to a viral moment where a Black supporter embraced Trump at an Atlanta Chick-fil-A, describing it as a “nightmare” for left-wing media. He criticized these media outlets for perpetuating a narrative that he considers false—that Trump is unpopular among Black voters and that he is a racist. Terrell argued that this photograph, showing a Black woman warmly hugging Trump, contradicts the media’s portrayal and illustrates a growing affinity for Trump among Black voters.

Terrell further emphasized that Trump’s policies had positively impacted Black communities, citing historically low unemployment rates, substantial funding for historically Black colleges and universities, and criminal justice reform through the First Step Act. He contrasted these accomplishments with the Biden administration’s performance, which he criticized for high inflation and rising crime rates affecting urban areas.

The discussion highlighted a potential shift in political allegiance among Black voters, suggesting a move away from traditional Democratic support towards more diverse political affiliations. Terrell’s commentary reflects a broader debate on the political dynamics within the Black community and challenges the conventional narrative of unanimous support for Democratic candidates.
