She noted that, despite his age, Biden has demonstrated consistent clarity and judgment during their interactions in Congress and beyond.
Crockett acknowledged concerns about Biden’s debate performance and referenced critiques from a recent book on his cognitive health. However, she dismissed those concerns, comparing Biden’s natural slowing with aging to her grandmother’s—insisting he remains mentally sound and effective.
She further emphasized her preference for Biden’s leadership, even at perceived peak capacity, over Trump’s: “Even a mentally deficient Biden is a thousand times better than what we currently have,” she asserted.
Crockett urged impartiality in assessing leaders’ fitness, whether Democrat or Republican, and praised Biden’s ability to surround himself with competent advisors—a contrast she drew to Trump’s approach.
