Last week, election officials dismissed a Democrat poll worker in Indiana after they were accused of pre-selecting Democratic candidates and encouraging residents to vote for specific candidates.
Hamilton County’s election administrator, Beth Sheller, informed Fox News Digital that two incidences occurred at the same polling place in Carmel, Indiana, as reported in an inspector’s report. This activity by a poll worker called James Zheng may constitute electioneering and election interference.
According to Chalkboard Review, where officials initially recognized Zheng, he has been accused of asking black people “… not to vote for the racist politicians outside.”
The first incident was on Thursday night when a poll worker confronted a group of education activists outside the voting station and allegedly warned two black voters not to vote for pro-parent school board candidates because they were “racist.”
After casting their ballots, the couple told the activists about their experience with the poll worker. The activists then approached the worker to discuss the situation.
According to the inspector’s findings, the second event may have entailed an attempt to tamper with an election.
In this issue of Chalkboard Review, we report under cover of “explaining the voting equipment,” Sheller revealed that Zheng had reportedly pre-selected a straight-Democrat ticket for a voter.
Some voters “didn’t know how to change it back” after accusing Zheng of doing the same thing on their votes, so election officials investigated.
The Republican Party of Hamilton County chairman, Mario Massillamany, said in a news statement acquired by Chalkboard Review that Zheng had been fired from his job as an early voting site worker and barred from returning on Friday and Monday.
Massillamany said this should serve as a warning that those thirsty for power would breach the law to prevent parents and taxpayers from electing new members to school boards who better represent community values. Please promptly notify a poll worker or other election authority if you observe any suspicious behavior at the polls.
According to Fox News, We needed a substitute poll worker and called Dayna Colbert, chair of the Hamilton County Democrats.
The allegations have allegedly prompted an investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheller told Chalkboard Review that she would work with a partisan group of judges and elected officials to ensure that no electioneering signs or limitations were put at the site before voters cast their ballots.
