Aaron Rodgers, the NFL superstar, stepped up to call out the COVID vaccine “witch hunt” being carried out by the media while making an appearance on this past Saturday’s episode of Joe Rogan’s titanic podcast and explained just why he outright refused to get the vaccine throughout the entirety of last year’s football season.
As someone who dodged the questions about his vaccination status throughout the entirety of last year by labeling himself as “immunized” until he came down with COVID and was made to miss out on a game, Rodgers stands by his claims that he never lied. The Green Bay Packers quarterback and currently reigning league MVP, who Rogan brought onto his show with the title “the coolest motherf***er in the world,” stated that he had a stable plan for when the left-wing media started calling out and grilling the various stars of the NFL about their current vaccination status.
“They were doing this, I called it a witch hunt, where they were asking every single player ‘are you vaccinated?’” explained Rodgers to the podcasting titan. “You know, they were asking a bunch of big quarterbacks and some guys were saying, ‘it’s personal’ or whatever.”

Rodgers claimed that he had rejected the mRNA vaccines handed out by Pfizer and Moderna because of a particular ingredient to which he was allergic. He was also quite worried about the Johnson & Johnson variant due to it having some probable links to blood clots. Rodgers claimed that he had been willing to speak out about his beliefs concerning the vaccine, but the various left-wing media members only wanted a binary yes or no answer.
“I had come to the conclusion that I was going to say, ‘I’ve been immunized,’ and if there was a follow-up, then talk about my process,” he explained. “But I thought there was a possibility that, I say I’m immunized, maybe they understand what that means, maybe they don’t, maybe they follow up. They didn’t follow up.”
However, once the NFL star actually came down with the virus in late October, while many still thought that the various vaccines provided total protection from the disease, reporters started to hurl accusations about his claims of being “immunized.” Rogan then asked Rodgers what it was like to have the left-wing mob label and call him “a plague rat.”
“That’s when the s***storm hit, because now I’m a liar and endangering the community and my teammates, all these people,” Rodgers stated. “The attempted takedown of me and, you know, my word and my integrity began.”
Rodgers, who is well known for being health conscious and having a free spirit, claimed that he declined the mRNA vaccines in the wake of learning that they utilized polyethylene glycol.
“I went on the CDC website and it specifically said ‘if you’re allergic to PEG, we do not recommend getting vaccinated with the mRNA vaccines,’” he stated to the podcaster. “The only other one available was Johnson & Johnson. That had just got pulled at the time for blood clots. So, I looked into other options which included an immunization process through holistic doctor. I researched and talked to probably a dozen different MDs. I found a protocol that I felt like was the best available.”
The NFL as a whole did not actually issue any mandates to their players concerning vaccination for 2021, but the policy it held strongly encouraged them to get it.
