In testimony before a Senate committee, AG Bill Barr has confirmed that there are multiple investigations into leaking. One can only hope that Adam Schiff is the subject of several of those, along with John Brennan and James Clapper.
This is the first indication that real investigations into illegal leaking is being looked into. If Assange can be indicted, several news organizations and Democratic politicians should be held fully accountable for their actions, especially the leaks that turned out to be total lies.
Attorney General William Barr testified Wednesday that the Justice Department has “multiple” investigations into leaks of classified information to the media.
Barr revealed the ongoing investigations during an exchange with Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Grassley sent a letter to Barr on April 25 inquiring whether the Justice Department is investigating leaks to the media regarding several stories involving the Russia investigation. Grassley noted a leak to The Washington Post on April 11, 2017, regarding the existence of a classified surveillance warrant against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
Barr did not identify which leaks are being investigated.
“We have multiple criminal leak investigations underway,” Barr told Grassley.
Leaking has been a major problem ever since President Trump has taken office and James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, Dick Durbin and many others have been accused of leaking information and if guilty must don those orange jumpsuits and take their place in our criminal justice system. The sooner, the better.
