Alabama GOP Senate Run-Off Election Shows Currently Trump Endorsed Katie Britt Knocking Out Formerly Trump Endorsed Candidate Mo Brooks

Katie Britt, an Alabama Senate candidate, has managed to knock out Congressman Mo Brooks (R-AL) from the state’s GOP primary run-off election.

As of writing, Britt managed to gather 66.54% of the total vote while Brooks was only able to lock down 33.46%, as reported by Decision Desk HQ, and this split sports enough votes counter to officially project a winner.

Britt also sports the endorsement of former President Donald Trump in the wake of taking first place with a plurality of votes in the GOP primary elections back in May. Brooks was previously endorsed by Trump before this election. He ended up losing said endorsement from Trump in the wake of saying that it was about time to move past the events of the 2020 election. He managed to fall into second place in the GOP primary elections for Alabama. Since neither of the candidates originally sported over 50% of the vote, the run-off election took place this past Tuesday, June 21st.

As he has been endorsing Britt, Trump put out his own statement back on Friday, June 10th, stating, “Mo has been wanting it back ever since,” seemingly in reference to the endorsement that he pulled from Brooks, “but I cannot give it to him!”

“Katie Britt, on the other hand, is a fearless America First Warrior,” he stated.

“When I endorsed Mo Brooks, he took a 44-point lead and was unstoppable. He then hired a new campaign staff who ‘brilliantly’ convinced him to ‘stop talking about the 2020 Election,’” Trump stated back in March when he originally yanked his endorsement from Brooks.

“Very sad but, since he decided to go in another direction, so have I, and I am hereby withdrawing my Endorsement of Mo Brooks for the Senate,” he went on. “I don’t think the great people of Alabama will disagree with me. Election Fraud must be captured and stopped, or we won’t have a Country anymore.”

All the while, Britt has been setting herself up in a spot for voters as a steadfast supporter of Trump’s America First agenda, who will also bring new ideas into the Capitol.

“We are relentlessly visiting with voters across this great state,” stated Britt to Yellowhammer News. “It is clear that people want new blood, they want fresh blood. They want someone to go to D.C. to shake it up — somebody that will fight for our values and fight for our people. And so there is no doubt that we are the best America First candidate and the person to go make those things happen. So we’re excited to make this happen on June 21st and look forward to continuing to earn the votes of every Alabamian across the state.”
