Alaska Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy threw heavy criticism at a report highlighting one Russian lawmaker who is seeking reparations from the U.S., up to and including the return of Alaska in its entirety to Russian control.
“Good luck with that! Not if we have something to say about it. We have hundreds of thousands of armed Alaskans and military members that will see it differently,” stated Dunleavy in regard to the claim in a tweet put out on Tuesday.

Oleg Matveychev, a Duma member and Russian legislator, reportedly went in on Russian TV for an appearance on “Sunday Evening With Vladimir Solovyov.”
Solovyov posited the question to Matveychev about if he meant Alaska and the previously Russian settlement of Fort Ross out in California.
“That was my next point. As well as the Antarctic… We discovered it, so it belongs to us… Also, the return of all medals that have been unlawfully taken from our sportsmen during all Olympic games, as well as the extradition of [Grigory] Rodchenkov, along with the extradition of multiple other criminals we’ll want. I think we should start voicing all of that, so they understand what will be on the table. You didn’t want to talk to us about something small, like Ukraine’s neutrality, here’s what you get. And that’s not even all of it,” claimed the lawmaker.
This pst Monday, Solovyov also issued threat in the wake of the seizure of a pair of Italian villas.
“I still think that those who took our money should be told, you have 24 hours to unfreeze our funds, or else we’ll send you what you know we’ve got. Your choice. Tactical or strategic, take a pick. You took our money, you’re the thieves, our talk is short with you: a bullet to the head,” he stated in the report.
These insane requests take place as the full-scale Russian invasion into Ukraine hits its third week, leaving a trail of devastated cities and well over three million Ukrainians fleeing their country.
Ukraine responded instantly with a strong and stalwart resistance movement, resulting in heavy losses for Russian military units. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s cries for aid from other nations have led to a strong increase in help, which included military funding, to help with the resistance.
Recently, Zelensky spoke to Congress via video, directly calling out President Joe Biden via his conclusion to “be the leader of peace.”
In the wake of the speech, it was stated that the White House was expected to put forth an announcement stating an additional $800 million in various forms of military aid to Ukraine. However, directly after the speech, there was an additional $200 million committed on Saturday.
