The twists and turns of the past week, where we’ve seen two prominent Virginia Democrats come to the edge of career suicide thanks to their past flirtations with blackface, has started to make us wonder one thing: When is a prominent member or faction of Black America going to stand up and say, “Guys, this is really getting stupid. We don’t have to destroy a person’s livelihood because they dressed up like Michael Jackson thirty years ago. Like, really, it’s not necessary.” Anyone? Anywhere? Does no one have the courage to stand up and tell the social media mob to…

Another disgusting display…
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her new buddy Ed Markey released their much-ballyhooed Green New Deal bill on Thursday, and it’s just about as bad as we figured it would be. Aimed at taking the United States down to net-zero carbon emissions within ten years, the legislation amounts to one of the grandest socialist programs to emerge from Congress in decades. It also includes a nice little line in there about making sure the government provides “economic security for those unable or unwilling to work.” Isn’t that fantastic. There was a time not that long ago when Democrats had the self-respect to…
Fresh off her last national embarrassment, in which she tried to rig the Democratic primaries in favor of her best girl Hillary Clinton and wound up getting fired from the DNC in the process, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is ready to hit the big time again. This time, she’s telling the world that she’ll “most definitely” lead a court challenge against President Trump if he attempts to declare a national emergency and build the wall with pre-existing Pentagon funds. In an interview with CNN, Wasserman Schultz said, “There’s not a national emergency that would meet the test that would allow…
Marvel’s latest entry into the neverending superhero canon, “Captain Marvel,” opens in theaters on March 8, but before star Brie Larson fights a rogue’s gallery of villains on screen, she’s on a heroic crusade against the real villains of modern-day America: White males. Yes, Larson apparently went out of her way to survey the field of movie criticism and journalism, consult with social justice academics, and then specifically request that she be interviewed by “diverse” journalists while out on tour to promote the film. Truly, where would we be without real-life superheroes like Brie Larson? Larson (who is also white,…
I have respected Congressman Gowdy but on this issue fundamentally disagree.
Here goes nothing!
The Supreme Court on Friday upheld a federal judge’s order blocking the Trump administration’s new asylum restrictions. Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the four liberal justices in the 5-4 ruling. The administration’s policy, signed on November 9, would temporarily bar migrants who illegally cross into the US through the southern border from seeking asylum outside of official ports of entry. The ruling comes after a federal judge opted to extend a ban on the new restrictions Wednesday. A panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit earlier this month kept in place a lower-court decision that…
Rumors have been swirling for months!
Trump backed another winner! Cindy Hyde-Smith managed to defeat Democrat Mike Espy today in the much anticipated Senate runoff election out of Mississippi. She will officially become the first woman from Mississippi elected to Congress, with The Associated Press calling the race in her favor not even 30 minutes ago. “Congratulations to Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith on your big WIN in the Great State of Mississippi,” he tweeted late Tuesday. “We are all very proud of you!” via USA Today: Hyde-Smith was appointed by Republican Gov. Phil Bryant to fill the seat of longtime GOP Sen. Thad Cochran, who retired in…
The feel-good video of the Christmas season!
Jeff Sessions has resigned as attorney general effective immediately after being asked to do so by President Trump, sources told ABC News. “At your request, I am submitting my resignation,” Sessions wrote in an undated letter to the president. “Since the day I was honored to be sworn in as Attorney General of the United States, I came to work at the Department of Jusitce every day determined to do my duty and serve my country,” Sessions wrote. “I have done so to the best of my ability, working to support the fundamental legal processes that are the foundation of justice.” In…
I don’t know about you but I really think we needed this. This will have so many positive implications that there may be too many to list. RIGHT-TO-TRY not only may help those who are all but gone fight their ailments but so many medical breakthroughs can come about with real people going on all. The fact of the matter is, and believe me I don’t mean this as callously as it may sound, people who are (again) all but dead have a fighting chance and help further our understanding. I’m glad the President is doing this. According to CNBC:…
