Before the midterms, Joe Biden warned that “Mega-MAGA trickle down” will purposefully trigger a recession to benefit Republicans.

During a Monday speech to the Democratic National Committee, Vice President Biden criticized Republicans, saying they would “wreck the economy” to pressure him into cutting Medicare.

Vice President Joe Biden also used the occasion to introduce the term “Mega-MAGA trickle down” to describe the Republican economic policies he opposes. President Trump then singled out House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, saying that if Republicans got their way, it would add $3 trillion to the debt. He said the party intended to use the deficit as a club to beat him.

“If the Republicans take control of Congress, as they have repeatedly promised, they will shut down the government, refuse to pay our debts, and cause the first default in American history unless I cave and agree to cuts to social security and Medicare. The default on the national debt is being threatened. The American economy could not take much more upheaval, inflation, or devastation at this point, “Biden said.

Later on Monday, the Republican National Committee issued a strong rebuke to Biden’s remarks.

RNC Spokeswoman Emma Vaughn told Fox News Digital, “The only Democrats eager to embrace Joe Biden at this moment are paid DNC workers who work in Washington, DC.” “Meanwhile, Democrats lower on the ticket around the country are scrambling to cover how they voted for Biden. Voters are aware that while the Democrats ran Washington, they caused prices to rise, crime to increase, and set the country on the wrong course.”

Throughout Biden’s presidency, Republicans have criticized his spending priorities, particularly his decision to increase the IRS’s budget. The IRS was given an $80 billion funding boost thanks to Biden and the Democrats, resulting in an additional 87,000 workers being hired.

In the last weeks leading up to the midterm elections on November 8, polls have shown an increasingly dismal picture for Democrats. 26% of respondents in a survey by the New York Times last week cited the economy as their top concern, with inflation and the cost of living coming in at 18%. The third lowest was for abortion, at a paltry 5%. The rate of immigration was ranked fifth (5%), while the crime rate was fifth (3%).

According to the survey results, respondents have greater faith in Republicans than Democrats to deal with economic and inflation challenges.

Since the Democrats’ initial surge in the polls in July and August, President Biden’s poll numbers have recently plummeted to 39% on Monday. According to a Fox News poll, only 33% of likely voters said they would vote to re-elect the president.

There was also a poll conducted by the Associated Press that 49% of voters were leaning toward voting for a Republican candidate on Election Day, while 45% were leaning toward voting for a Democrat.

However, Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have disregarded the polls, claiming that Americans will turn out in droves to vote against Republicans because of hot-button topics like abortion.

“The problem of inflation, though, affects the entire world. It affects the entire world. What exactly are they planning to do? They have nothing going for them. “Last week, Pelosi was quoted in Punchbowl News. “When unemployment rates are lowered, inflation rises. The unemployment rate was successfully reduced by [Vice President] Biden, being cut in half. There is inflation, but it is worldwide and not as severe as in certain nations. In the following three weeks, we’ll need to refine our messaging. We’re in excellent shape, in my opinion. That is something that other people simply refuse to accept.”
