Democrats are pulling out all the stops in the final two days before the midterm elections, trying to sway voters despite polls indicating Republicans are ahead of them nationally.
Vice President Joe Biden criticized Republicans and labeled a handful of protesters “idiots” at a speech in Illinois.
A handful of Republicans brandished placards reading “Socialism Sucks,” “Where’s Nancy?” and “Vote Pro-Life” during Biden’s speech.
To the cheers of the crowd, Vice President Joe Biden said, “I love those placards as I came in. Don’t make me laugh; what a bunch of moronic fools.
The president responded by defending Medicare and Social Security, which he said Senators Rick Scott (R-Fla) and Ron Johnson (R-Wisc) were threatening to cut.
Throughout his brief speech (about 23 minutes), Biden lied more and more dramatically, alleging that Republicans are putting people’s “basic fundamental” liberties at risk.
We’re the only country that’s emerged from every crisis much more potent than before. Because of our unique status, we are the only ones who can take action. We must guarantee the safety of the American people. Our most fundamental rights are in danger. Three more days, we have them right now,” Biden stated.
Vice President Biden pleaded with voters to support Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman in Pennsylvania by highlighting Fetterman’s promises to preserve Medicare and Social Security.
Biden again aimed the GOP, warning that under Republican policy, people will suffer and struggle.
That’s not a joke, no. No, the Republican Party of today is not the same as the one your parents supported. Indeed, this feline is a distinct subspecies. That’s the truth. All they care about is making sure the already affluent grow richer. The privileged continue to amass fortunes. Middle-class people get the shaft. According to their program, the poor would become even more inferior, Biden said.
