Democrat President Joe Biden issued his prediction by stating it would be a “sad, sad two years” if Republicans were to gain control of Congress as a result of the upcoming 2022 midterm elections.
As part of an address to the Democratic National Committee members as part of their winter meeting, Biden encouraged them to throw their support behind what he claimed was a “message that resonates” — “Build a better American” — and focus their efforts and their enthusiasm into making sure they won in the upcoming November elections.
“If we don’t do that, don’t do that, it’s going to be a sad, sad two years. Think about Republicans if they controlled the Congress these last two years,” stated Biden, before continuing, “I believe we have a record to be incredibly proud of … a message that resonates: Build a better America. Now we have to do the work. Now what we have to do is we have to sell it with confidence, clarity, conviction and repetition.”
Old Uncle Joe also put emphasis on his remarks on Ukraine, bragging about the efforts from his administration in attempting to pull together North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) nations into a coalition against Russian President Vladimir Putin and his horrible invasion.
The Hill reported:
The president listed Ukraine as an issue for Democrats to run on, touting the unity of NATO and the U.S. against Russia’s ongoing invasion into its neighboring country and saying that Russian PresidentVladimir Putin has “failed to divide Democrats and Republicans.”
He also noted the record-high price of gas and called it “Putin’s price hike,” rhetoric that the White House has been using to discuss gas prices since Biden announced a ban on Russian energy imports earlier this week.
Biden took the change to once again throw the blame on Putin for the insanely large increase in energy prices by repeatedly using the phrase “Putin’s price hike,” a phrase which has been parroted by many within the Biden administration, despite the fact that these prices were already on the rise just after Biden took the oval office.
Press Secretary Jen Psaki was challenged by Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy directly on that idea earlier last week when he questioned Psaki over whether the adminbistrations plan was to just have Democrats blame Putin for all their issues until well after midterms.
As reported by the Daily Wire:
“And so to that point, inflation goes up today. The President’s statement blames the ‘Putin Price Hike.’ Are you guys just going to start blaming Putin for everything until the midterms?” Doocy asked.
“Well, we’ve seen the price of gas go up at least $.75 since President Putin lined up troops on the border of Ukraine,” Psaki replied.
Doocy pressed Psaki on the same issue three days earlier, as The Daily Wire reported:
“It sound like you are blaming Putin for the increase in gas prices recently, but weren’t gas prices going up anyway because of post-pandemic supply chain issues?” Doocy asked.
Psaki fired back, seemingly ignoring the earlier increases in energy costs, and highlighting only the most recent power spike that went along with their narrative about Russia and Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
“Well, we’ve seen the price of gas go up at least $.75 since President Putin lined up troops on the border of Ukraine,” she stated.
