The Justice Department has assigned DOJ IG Michael Horowitz to investigate what part Obama and his minions played in placing a spy in the Trump campaign in an effort to entrap them. An attempt that failed completely.
This move could be a cover-up. Horowitz has proven himself to be a thorough investigator but as IG to the DOJ, he has no power in other departments which will be necessary to get to the bottom of Obama’s corruption.
Yesterday, President Trump ordered the DOJ to investigate the spy in his campaign and what role the Obama administration may have had. If ever there was a case for a special counsel, this was it. This investigation calls for someone with the wide-ranging power to go after the Deep State with the power to go anywhere and have that department obligated to cooperate, something that a Horowitz investigation may not be able to do.
As previously reported by TGP’s Kristinn Taylor, President Trump tweeted Sunday afternoon he is ordering the Justice Department to investigate whether the Obama administration spied on his 2016 presidential campaign.
The order comes on the heels of leaks to the New York Times and Washington Post that the Obama administration had an “informant” make several approaches to three Trump campaign officials, included one that involved an offer of cash and another an offer to “advise” the campaign.
Trump tweeted: “I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes — and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!” the president tweeted.
One of the most important questions that need to be asked is when the spying began and when it ended. This is pertinent because the FBI insists that the catalyst for the investigation is an interview they did with Alexander Downer, which occurred on August 2nd, 2016 but the investigation began days earlier and some reports say that John Brennan had been investigating trump in April of 2016, long before the Hillary dossier and the FBI’s questioning of Downing.
We know that the spying continued well into 2017 when it was apparent to all that no collusion existed. So, what were they really doing? Looking for a way to get rid of Trump.
