The extremely far-left leaning Chilean President Gabriel Boric put forth an announcement as part of a recent speech held last week about his plan to entirely ban the possibility of citizens’ ability to protect themselves by owning firearms.
Boric, who sports a ruling coalition that seems to include a few members of the Communist Party for the country, issued the comments this past Wednesday as part of his very first televised address.
“I want everyone listening to us to know that gun violence will not be tolerated in our country,” he stated. “And that’s why our ‘Fewer Guns, More Safety’ program proposes a radical limitation on their legal access. And from now I’m asking you, this honorable Congress, all of your support to approve a law that allows us to advance toward a total ban on gun ownership.”

This extremist push from Boric concerning restricting the ability to own firearms in his country is happening just after another far-left leader and communist sympathizer, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, stated late last month his intent to try and strongarm through a bill to ban the sale of all handguns.
“New gun control legislation the federal government tabled today includes a national freeze on the purchase, sale, importation and transfer of handguns in Canada — the government’s most ambitious attempt yet to restrict access to firearms in this country,” stated a report from CBC. “While the proposal falls short of a full ban on handguns, it would effectively limit the number of them in Canada.”
Trudeau made the claim that gun violence was escalating rapidly and that meant that it was his “duty to keep taking action.”
“Last summer, during the campaign, some politicians said they would make assault style weapons legal again,” claimed Trudeau. “Not only did we stand up to them, but we promised to go even further to protect our communities. We proposed to invest to help provinces and territories put restrictions on handguns within their jurisdictions.”
“However, in our discussions with law enforcement advocates and experts, it became apparent that we needed a different solution,” he went on. “We’re introducing legislation to implement a national freeze on handgun ownership. What this means is that it will no longer be possible to buy, sell, transfer or import handguns anywhere in Canada. In other words, we’re capping the market for handguns.”
Previously, Trudeau has attempted to use the attempted implementation of harsh gun control as a way to distract from his own scandals, namely his blackface scandal in which photos came to light that showed him in racist blackface multiple times.
