CIA Takes To Online Trolling To Spread Government Propaganda

Burned into popular culture is the stereotype of the highly sophisticated CIA officer, with gadgets and technology not yet known to Joe Consumer.

More often than not, however, we are disappointed by the reality of these romanticized professions.  Cowboys, firemen, and special agents all get the same literary treatment, as the automatic alpha male in any situation.  The truth is unfortunately a much more mundane and crude job.  With more paperwork.

Now, it seems that the CIA may have even stooped to a lower level of “police work”.

“In an expansion of Operation Mockingbird, the agency are now creating fake user accounts on various internet forums and social media channels, arguing politics with real users in an attempt to stifle and subvert genuine communications between users.

    “Americanintelligencereport.com reports:

“‘According to RT news, agents have up to “10 fake shill accounts” used to troll and create the illusion of having a genuine network of friends.’

“’They will defend current administration decisions with relentless irrational stubbornness that one can only be paid to do.’

“‘Are you chatting with a CIA Agent on-line? It’s possible you may already have.'”

That’s right.  Our tax dollars could soon be going to some obscene username on your favorite message board, placed their by our federal government to specifically target you and your thoughts.  This form of subversive warfare on the American people was perfected by the Nazi party’s propaganda wing in the years leading up to and through World War II.  To now find the American government willing and able to spend our money to simply frustrate us online is offensively absurd.
