DeSantis Destroys Crist In Recent Explosive Debate In The Run-up To Midterm Elections

This past Monday evening, Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL) Seemed to be constantly on the back foot against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) throughout the recent gubernatorial debate in the wake of his attempt attacks on the way in which DeSantis handled the recent Hurricane Ian.

This debate was originally slated to take place back on the 12th of October but was forced to reschedule due to the extreme damage which was caused by the landfall of Hurricane Ian.

The debate takes place just as a recent poll highlighted that DeSantis had managed to far out-raise and outspend Crist throughout the election cycle and is currently the expected winner of the midterm race happening next month.

The criticism from Crist regarding how DeSantis handled the aftermath of the hurricane came out directly in the wake of the top political rival for DeSantis, President Joe Biden (D), heaped praise onto the Governor for how he handled the recent natural disaster. “What the governor’s done is pretty remarkable,” expressed Biden at the start of the month. “I think he’s done a good job.”

“Look, I’m proud that we had 42,000 linemen staged, ready to go, an unprecedented array of first responders,” stated DeSantis throughout the Debate. “We were able to get in in a record time, effectuate thousands of rescues, get the power back on for millions of people in record time.”

“And when the bridges got wiped out in Pine Island and in Sanibel people thought those islands were going to be severed from the mainland for six months to a year, we did the Pine Island Restoration in three days and we did the Sanibel causeway restoration in two weeks,” DeSantis went on. “Now those islands have the ability to recover.”

DeSantis then redirected his focus directly onto Crist and exactly what Crist was doing throughout and in the wake of the hurricane slamming into the state.

“You know what he was doing during this? He was hiding out in Puerto Rico,” stated DeSantis. “He wasn’t helping his community here. And then when he got back, what did he do? His campaign was soliciting campaign contributions from storm victims. That is unacceptable and that’s not what a leader would do and a time of despair.”
