Rudio Giuliani appeared with radio host John Catsimatidis, where he said it’s very likely that Comey could be charged with crimes arising from the bogus Hillary email investigation.
Michael Horowitz will be releasing the report on Thursday, which just happens to be Donald Trump’s birthday. Giuliani said they will study the report which he says he expects to be tough on James Comey as well it should be. They will then decide what charges to refer against him.
“I think the report of Horowitz, the IG, and the Justice Department will confirm that Comey acted improperly with regard to the Hillary Clinton investigation,” Giuliani told John Catsimatidis on his AM 970 radio show on Sunday, referring to Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
“The first thing we are going to get is a report from Inspector General Horowitz on Comey’s handling of Hillary, which I think is going to be very very critical of Comey, as it should be,” Giuliani continued.
“Comey, really, has a chance of being prosecuted as a result of, but we’ll see.”
How ironic it will be after all that time he spent trying to frame President trump, he could and should be in prison by this time next year. That will be about the time president announces he’s running for reelection.
Parts of the report that have surfaced in the media claim that Comey was “insubordinate” and faulted him for ignoring the DOJ’s objections when he informed Congress in a letter weeks before the 2016 election that he was reopening the investigation into Clinton’s emails.
Clinton’s camp has claimed that Comey’s action delivered a fatal blow to her presidential campaign.
The DOJ inspector general launched the examination into the probe surrounding Clinton’s emails days before Trump was inaugurated in January 2017.
Trump fired Comey in May 2017, paving the way for the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller who’s investigating Russian involvement in the election.
