Gov. Abbott Goes Off On NYC Mayor Adams For His Complaints About Illegal Immigrants Going To New York

Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has called out New York City Democrat Mayor Eric Adams for trying to complain about the minuscule number of illegal immigrants that have been sent into New York while Texas has been forced to deal with the vast majority of the border crisis that has exploded due to the policies of President Joe Biden.

After meeting a group of almost 40 illegal immigrants who showed up in his city from Texas as of Sunday, Adams has sounded the call for help from those in the federal government in order to deal with this ‘massive’ influx of illegal immigrants that have been sent ot his city.

“This is horrific when you think about what [Abbott] is doing,” exclaimed Adams as part of a press conference. “New York is a city that has always represented democratic values. Showing our values. That’s what we’re doing today.”

“It is unimaginable what the governor of Texas has done,” he went on. “When you think about this country, a country that has always been open to those who are fleeing persecution and other intolerable conditions.”

“We’ve always welcomed that. And this governor is not doing that in Texas. But we are going to set the right message and the right tone of being here for these families,” stated Adams.

Abbot fired back at these odd remarks from Adams in a fierce statement posted this past Monday afternoon, outright mocking the first-term mayor for being “hypocritically upset.”

“What’s horrific is the thousands of illegal immigrants overrunning and overwhelming our border communities with populations smaller than a New York City borough, and Mayor Adams is hypocritically upset about welcoming a few dozen into his sanctuary city,” stated Abbott. “These migrants willingly chose to go to New York City, having signed a voluntary consent waiver, available in multiple languages, upon boarding that they agreed on the destination.”

“If the mayor wants a solution to this crisis, he should call on President Biden to take immediate action to secure the border-something the President continues failing to do,” Abbot went on to say. “The Biden Administration is allowing historic levels of illegal immigrants, weapons, and deadly drugs like fentanyl to surge into our state and dumping migrants in our border towns with little to no help provided.”

Abbott also highlighted that he has been made to deploy the soldiers of the National Guard of Texas and DPS troopers along the border in an effort to stem the tide of illegal aliens flooding over the border from Mexico into his state.

Abbott also highlighted that his state is “building our own border wall, busing migrants to sanctuary cities Washington, D.C. and New York City to provide relief to our local partners, and now sending illegal immigrants back to the border.”
