Gregg Jarrett (FOX News legal analyst) says Rosenstein, Comey, Yates, and McCabe all lied to the FISA court. So now they all face legal troubles once AG Jeff Sessions is gone. In fact, he said each one faces multiple felonies depending on which one’s prosecutors decide to press. They want to keep from looking like they are overcharging them, but want them to get significant prison time. Comey looks to be especially vulnerable, considering all the criminal activity he was involved in as is Rod Rosenstein.
Newly released text messages and records obtained by the House Oversight Committee reveal Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were discussing a strategy to leak unverified information to the media in an effort to damage the Trump administration.
As Cristina Laila reported earlier the FBI lovebirds were discussing media leak strategy in April of 2017–just one month after AG Sessions recused himself–a very critical time leading up to the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
On Monday, Freedom Caucus Chairman and member of the House Oversight Committee Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) sent a letter to the DOJ, addressed to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein saying a “review of the new documents raises grave concerns regarding an apparent systemic culture of media leaking by high-ranking officials at the FBI and DOJ related to ongoing investigations,” reported Sara Carter.
Rep Mark Meadows believes he has found an article that came out just before the texts. It suggested being one of the false stories planted by the FBI, Peter Strzok, and Lisa Page. These new texts are major. They show the FBI and the DOJ were participating in what they knew to be illegal activity.
From Sara Carter:
Newly released text messages and documents obtained by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee reveal that senior members of the FBI and Department of Justice led a coordinated effort to leak unverified information to the press regarding alleged collusion with Russia to damage President Donald Trump’s administration, according to a letter sent by the committee to the DOJ Monday.
Rep. Mark Meadows, R-NC, sent the letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein saying a “review of the new documents raises grave concerns regarding an apparent systemic culture of media leaking by high-ranking officials at the FBI and DOJ related to ongoing investigations.”
The review of the documents suggests that the FBI and DOJ coordinated efforts to get information to the press that would potentially be “harmful to President Trump’s administration.” Those leaks pertained to information regarding the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrant used to spy on short-term campaign volunteer Carter Page.
