Hunter Biden Shielded From Corruption Probe By House Dems Despite Concerns For National Security

This past Tuesday, the House Democrats held a vote to step forward and shield Hunter Biden from a new probe into the alleged influence-peddling schemes which were discovered by investigating his famously abandoned laptop.

The House Oversight Committee issued the vote along straight party lines to terminate a new “resolution of inquiry” proposal put forth by Rep. James Comer (R-KY). This particular proposal came in the wake of a stream of text messages and various emails from the laptop that seemed to pointedly implicate the son of President Joe Biden as well as one of his brothers, and even raise questions concerning just what Biden himself knew regarding the alleged potential corruption.

“[Democrats] are continuing in their coordinated effort to shield a potentially compromised President,” stated Comer in the wake of the vote.

The Democrats blocked any inquiry into the influence peddling scheme of Hunter Biden. If Republicans take the House as expected in the midterms, the Democrats now effectively took ownership of Hunter — a political proprietary claim that few would relish. https://t.co/GyhncHndlD

The legislator out of Kentucky put forth a warning concerning that the revelations coming from the laptop show that the entire Biden family is quite a large security threat. The computer in question, which had been abandoned at a computer repair shop out in Wilmington, Delaware, sported videos, emails, photos, and text messages which highlight the president’s son as a severely drug-addled, venal degenerate but also raise some worrying questions concerning Old Uncle Joe’s own role the corrupt workings of his son.

“President Biden’s family peddles access to the highest levels of government to enrich themselves, often at the expense of U.S. interests,” Comer claimed just prior to the official vote. “We need to know if President Biden has received a cut from these shady foreign business deals. If President Biden or his immediate family has, that is a national security threat, and he may be compromised.”

This vote from the House sprung up directly after a group of 33 Republican senators requested that Attorney general Merrick Garland appoint a special counsel to oversee the issue. While the Democrats have managed to guard the Bidens against scrutiny, for now, Republicans could now be in a position to take back the House, and quite likely the Senate, this coming November, in which case a full-scale Congressional investigation would end up being all but certain to happen.

“Even if no criminal acts are charged, the foreign dealings of the Hunter and his uncle were clearly corrupt and leveraged access to Joe Biden to acquire windfall payments from governments and their surrogates,” expressed Jonathan Turley, a George Washington University Law Professor, via his blog. “There is no good faith basis to refuse to investigate such a scheme designed to influence U.S. policy and policymakers.”

Hunter Biden went along with his father for a trip overseas when Old Uncle Joe was still Vice-President, and set up deals with the various energy companies and investors in Ukraine and China. As part of an interview that took place on Sunday on CBS News’ “60 Minutes,” President Biden stated that the dealings surrounding his son had no connection or effect on national security.

“There’s not a single thing that I’ve observed at all from — that would affect me or the United States relative to my son Hunter,” concluded Biden.
