Arizona Secretary of State and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Eric Holder visited the Grand Canyon State this week to campaign for her.
According to her campaign website, Katie Hobbs, the Democratic contender for governor of Arizona, held a news conference with local African American leaders and former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. While Holder warned that Kari Lake posed a threat to the survival of American democracy, he praised Secretary of State John Hobbs for his record of defending the right to vote.
And when Holder was in Arizona discussing the upcoming election, the National Border Patrol Union reminded everyone of his faithful and violent legacy in the state.
Republicans and Democrats voted to hold Holder in civil and criminal contempt of Congress in 2012 for his failure to assist with a congressional inquiry into the deadly Operation Fast and Furious incident.
Also, both the Democrats and the Republicans in Arizona have called on Hobbs to step down as secretary of state because of the apparent conflict of interest she faces as she is now supervising an election in which she is also running.
