Rep. Jim Jordan emphasized J.D. Vance’s news conference on Wednesday by expressing confidence in his party’s chances in the 2018 midterm elections and predicting that Vance will defeat his Democratic opponent.
Jordan spoke on the Ohio senate race on Chris Cuomo’s new program NewsNation, stating that Vance had “hit his stride.”
His candidate’s campaign is “off to a great start” and “progressing well,” he added. According to J.D., “I believe Tim Ryan has voted with [House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi, with [President Joe] Biden, and for the Inflation Reduction Act, which did not reduce inflation and instead made the problem worse.”
Why does Jordan believe the Republicans will win the November election?
“You know it’s a good year when Tim Ryan spends the entire summer pretending to be a Trump Republican, and when Joe Biden has to go to Oregon to support the Democratic candidate for governor in a state we haven’t won in 40 years,” he said.
Reuters reports that the Democratic candidate for governor “is in danger of losing in a state where a Republican has not been elected governor since 1982.” Hence, Vice President Biden traveled there last week to help.
