Joe Scarborough Puts Out Odd Theory On Why Everyone Seems To Be Flocking To DeSantis Instead Of VP Harris

Joe Scarborough, an anchor for MSNBC, stated this past Sunday that “media bias” was the main reason that people seemed to be more apt to flock to Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) over people such as the currently in office Cive President Kamala Harris.

Host of “Morning Joe,” Scarborough stated that the media more often than not issue more coverage in better light to DeSantis than it does to Harris, making the complaint that the Vice President had not been the centerpiece of anything resembling a positive story in well over a year.

“MEDIA BIAS ALERT: Kamala Harris hasn’t had a positive profile in a year. DeSantis sneezes and he’s framed as the rising star of politics. And yet the Great White Hope STILL loses is every head-to-head matchup with Harris. The VP also draws even with Trump,” claimed Scarborough via social media.

To go along with this statement, the show host highlighted an article from FloridaPolitics.com that spoke about the results of a recent Harris/Harvard poll. Said poll showed Harris beating out Governor DeSantis in a potential one-on-one encounter, but also highlighted Trump besting both Harris and President Joe Biden. Trump stood at the top of the list of “most favorable” political figures in said poll as well –while being followed quite closely by independent Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and former Vice President Mike Pence– all while overtaking Biden by almost three points in standard favorability and Harris by a total of 6.

Scarborough chose not to mention any numbers but instead followed up on his first post with a picture of a recent poll from YouGov that highlighted Biden beating out both Trump and DeSantis. In that particular poll, Harris also beat out DeSantis but fell apart even when matched up against Trump.

“Here’s a recent poll showing Biden beating DeSantis and Trump. Newsom beating DeSantis and Trump, Harris beating DeSantis and drawing with Trump,” he claimed.

“Here’s my takeaway: DeSantis will melt under the national spotlight, Trump is damaged goods, and Republicans are so extreme they’re chasing voters away who don’t consider themselves Democrats. This 2022 election is far more competitive at this stage than it should be,’ the MSNBC host went on.

“And two years is a lifetime,” Scarborough stated in conclusion, making the prediction that even if Trump somehow won the Republican primary for 2024, he would not make it through a general election. “Trump may be ahead of DeSantis in primary matchups (though I’m skeptical he would beat him) but Trump will not win a general election in 2024. DeSantis can, Youngkin can, and several other Republicans can. Not Trump.”
