Matt Whitaker Makes Major Announcement on the Caravan – Is This OK?

One or two days on the job, and already Matt Whitaker s in the thick of things. Today, he announced that President Trump is signing an Executive Order, declaring any illegal who crosses illegally into the United States will be ineligible for asylum.

If they want to apply for asylum, they must cross into the country at an approved port of entry, so they can be processed.  That will also allow them to run checks on caravan members with criminal records. But this, theoretically, will allow every invader to stay in the country. The current law is set to keep our borders open for illegals.

The amount of time the Border Patrol has to process asylum seekers is less than the time it takes to get them before a judge. The Trump administration then has a choice. He can separate the kids and parents or release them all into the US population, where many find a safe shelter to hide from authorities in.

    From The Daily Caller

The new rule in the federal register will allow President Donald Trump in the future to classify a group of aliens under his authority from the Immigration and Nationality Act.

“The interim rule, if applied to a proclamation suspending the entry of aliens who cross the southern border unlawfully, would bar such aliens from eligibility for asylum and thereby channel inadmissible aliens to ports of entry, where they would be processed in a controlled, orderly, and lawful manner,” new Department of Justice guidance reads.

“Today, we are using the authority granted to us by Congress to bar aliens who violate a Presidential suspension of entry or other restriction from asylum eligibility,” acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker said in a Thursday statement.

I’d move 1,000 immigration judges with the highest number of people who are turned down for asylum, and let them go to town in the courts along the border.
