Ambassador Geronimo Gutierrez, of Mexico, made a startling comment, but nonetheless, probably accurate, about the caravan from Honduras. Ambassador Gutierrez says that the caravan is a political trick. I have to agree with him on this.
Think about it… Why now, less than three weeks before the election. And what about the video of men handing money to women and children who lined up for the caravan? The Democrats would love photo ops of illegals being arrested and families split up.

“Mexico also issued a very clear statement saying if somebody is seeking asylum, Mexico is there along now with the U.N. to look at those claims, we want to make sure those claims are legitimate.”
“In other words before they make the trek across Mexico?” Baier asked.
“It’s not in the interest of anybody to have those people make that trip,” Gutierrez continued. “They’re frequently tricked by human smuggling organizations.”
“We have evidence that this caravan is also very much politically motivated,” he claimed.
“We’re obviously sensitive to the humanitarian situation that we encounter, and we’re acting precisely,” Gutierrez added.
This is good news for the United States because it sounds like Mexico has no plans to allow the caravan from passing through their country to our border. Mexico has just sent an additional 500 troops to their border with Guatemala because the caravan has gotten larger.
But I think there’s something larger at play here… it seems very strange that this is happening now. Perhaps they know the wall will become a reality and want to get in before it’s too late?
