He may be a progressive, but he was running against Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Tim Canova ran against Schultz and he wanted a recount of the paper ballots, suspecting fraud. It was then that he learned that Brenda Snipes, the election head for Broward County had destroyed them even though it’s illegal to do so.
The judge found that Snipes broke the law but said there was no remedy. Yes, there was. Lock her up. Since then, Canova has been warning that election results in Broward County are not to be trusted. Apparently, he was 100% correct. Broward “found” 15,000 additional votes, that triggered recounts for the Senate and the governorship. How convenient.
Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) is suing Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes over her office withholding records on how many ballots have been counted and how many more votes remain uncounted in Broward County. He has also ordered the police to seize all of the untallied ballots in Broward and Palm Beach.
This story is no surprise to Tim Canova, the progressive who ran as an Independent to challenge Debbie Wasserman-Schultz after a primary that he believes was rigged in her favor.
Speaking to the Gateway Pundit about the current scandal rocking the county, Canova asserted that he has been warning of Snipes’ election rigging for months.
In May, a judge ruled that Snipes violated state and federal laws by destroying ballots that Canova was seeking to look for voter irregularities in the primary.
The SunSentinel reports Florida’s Department of State said it will send election experts to the Broward County elections office in upcoming elections to “ensure that all laws are followed.”
