As revealed by Rev. Al Sharpton, just last month President Joe Biden expressed to him that he will, in fact, be trying to run once again in 2024.
Sharpton made the claim that Biden expressed to him these intentions while at the White House back in September.
“I’m going to do it again,” reported Sharpton’s National Action Network of Biden speaking to Sharpton. “I’m going.”
Biden has, as of writing, still not publicly stated his intentions concerning any possible attempt to run for re-election in 2024. Sharpton, however, has made the claim that he was one of the first people to find out about Biden even trying to run back in 2020.
As part of an interview carried out on the CBS show “60 Minutes” which aired back on the 18th of September, Scott Pelley with CBS questioned Biden concerning any possibilities he would run again in 2024, stating: “You say that it’s much too early to make that decision. I take it the decision has not been made in your own head.”
“Look, my intention as I said to begin with is that I would run again,” answered Biden. “But it’s just an intention. But is it a firm decision that I run again? That remains to be seen.”
A recent poll carried out by EWTN News and RealClear Opinion Research which was made public this past Tuesday showed that just over 58% of Catholic voters do not want to see a Biden 2024 presidential run. Only 28% of Hispanic Catholics and 17% of white Catholics thought that Biden would even attempt to go for reelection.
Another poll, this time from Washington Post/ABC News, from late September asked voters who “leaned Democrat” “Would you like the Democratic party to nominate Biden to run for president in 2024, or would you like the Democratic Party to nominate someone other than Biden as its candidate for president?”
Roughly 56% of those who answered stated that they would prefer someone other than Biden.
Seemingly trying to ignore the various polls which highlighted that the American people are very fed up with Biden, in mid-July Old Uncle Joe blew up on a reporter who highlighted that even Democrats were not wanting him to try for re-election, “They want me to run.”
Yet another poll, this one coming from the New York Times/Siena College, stated just last week that while 92% of Democratic voters would still vote for him in 2024, a staggering 64% of them wanted someone else to be the option they could vote for. Just a meager 26% seem to want Biden to try and actually run again.
