Schumer: Delusional, Self-Serving Paranoia — Wait, WHAT?

Attorney for President Trump, John Dowd, released a document today detailing what the white house calls “unprecedented cooperation” with the special counsel lead by Robert Mueller.

The document states that over 20,000 pages have been turned over by the administration with an additional 1.4 million pages from the president’s campaign team.

Mueller has been working his way to the top of the administration at an accelerated pace lately. His team recently interviewed over 20 White House personnel while considering the possibility of Russian collusion or evidence of obstruction of justice.

President Trump has long maintained that Mueller’s investigation will find nothing and that it’s a “witch hunt” lead by the Democrats. The recent shocking discovery of missing text messages between two agents, has spurred Republicans to consider another special investigation to determine if the FBI under James Comey did in fact shield and help the Clinton campaign.

Some lawmakers such as Chuck Grassley (R – Iowa) said he will work across the isle with Dianne Feinstein (D – Cali) to release transcriptions of the interviews with the President’s son, Donald Trump Jr., and others who attended a meeting in Trump Tower in June of 16 in a meeting between campaign officials and Russians.

Earlier today the FBI’s internal watchdog found the 5 months of missing texts. Inspector General Michael Horowitz said he would not object if the Justice Department shares with congressional committees the messages between the two agents in a letter to Republican lawmakers.

Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer weighed in on the FISA memo and text message saga today on the Senate floor stating that “What began as an attempt to discredit the investigator has now devolved into delusional, self-serving paranoia.”

Wednesday the Justice Department told the House intelligence panel’s chairman Devin Nunes (R – Cali) that releasing the classified memo could be ‘extraordinarily reckless’ and sought to review the memo.
