Remember just a few days ago, as senators from both sides of the isle spent the weekend wheeling and dealing trying to reach an agreement to restart the federal government?
Well, as the Democrats started taking flak in the polls they realized they couldn’t re-gift this turd and pulled a quick about face.
As details of the deal emerged, Democrat voters learned that Schumer and ilk were caving into the immense pressure from the right, Schumer and other high ranking Democrats called on the Republicans to stand by their words, and to show integrity in coming to the table to negotiate DACA between now and February 8th.
Well my friends, integrity is in short supply these days I suppose. Early Monday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer notified President Trump that the Democrat’s original offer of up to $25 million dollars to fund the border wall and security (up from the $18 million requested) has been rescinded.
He recently posted to Twitter: “Cryin’ Chuck Schumer fully understands, especially after his humiliating defeat, that if there is no Wall, there is no DACA. We must have safety and security, together with a strong Military, for our great people!”

Obviously, most Democrats were left with mud on their faces after shutting down the government and caving in almost immediately. Is this a chance for them to return to their “hard line”? Is this setting events in motion for another shutdown in two weeks’ time?
Schumer maintains that this dollar amount was never agreed upon, only suggested theoretically. He says Trump, “picked a number for the wall, and I accepted it”. That right there, ladies and gentlemen is why we voted for President Trump. Do you think he makes deals by letting his opponent pick a number and just rolling with it? No way, Jose.
This ordeal puts Republicans on the right side of a government shutdown, and the right side of history. After 8 years of being trounced by the media and another year of 95% negative coverage of President Trump, being this visibly right feels very good. A guy could get used to this.
